Celery Boy

Quick little illustration to accompany a paper for my literary theory class portfolio - for my paper on feminism, I decided to take a look at the role of the Doctor's female companion throughout the years (only paper I enjoyed writing all semester.)

The Classic female companions... suffered in the wardrobe department (as I'm sure most of us know.) Watching 'Resurrection of the Daleks,' it was painful to see Tegan hobble around in her restrictive outfit (even more painful to watch her fail-tastic escape attempt that served NO purpose to the plot whatsoever.) Not because I've ever worn such an outfit myself, but because whoever was in charge of her costume obviously didn't think she should dress appropriately for adventuring. I mean, come on.


Also, Five! My favorite Classic Doctor. I'm totally a Peter Davison fangirl

Awkward Tegan is awkward. I'm not used to drawing such feminine females (legs and heels, augh!) And her face... *sigh* Just ignore it :/
